EMFL

EMFL is the European High Magnetic Field Laboratory which provides access to various facilities for scientific experiments and testing in high-magnetic fields.

This is a high-performance coil developed at the Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory at HZDR which generates the highest pulsed magnetic fields in Europe for materials science research. The magnetic coils have to withstand extraordinary loads (credit Dr. Bernd Schroeder).
